Don Thomas is the Vice Chair for the IEEE Buenaventura Computer Society and currently heading up several Open Source Security projects, including Network Intrusion Detection Systems, Elasticsearch integrations and how to build a FREE (as in Beer) SIEM. Mr. Thomas is also the Security Track Director for the Southern California Linux Expo.
